Royce Da 5′9″ and his M.I.C. imprint have inked a deal with One Records for the release of Royce’s highly anticipated album, Street Hop, scheduled for a first quarter 2009 release. Featuring production from DJ Premier, Nottz, Green Lantern, Carlos Broady, Ski, Kay Gee and Emile; and guest spots from Bun B, Joe Budden, Joell Ortiz, Crooked I and a few other surprises that will be unveiled at a later date. Be on the lookout for the Rik Cordero directed video for the lead single, Shake This, later this month. As well as a video for the b-side single, Part Of Me, produced by Carlos Broady.

“This album will definitely show the world why I’m the one to watch right now. I’m happy about my new partnership between M.I.C and One Records, because it’s time to ignite the streets… I’m ready to show all these other rappers just how wack they really are.” – Royce

Lupe Announces that this will be his last album at a show in Chicago, but also says “things aren’t always what they seem”. He didn’t announce retirement just that this was his last album and it will be a three disc set. Thats right ladies and gentlement three albums in one, which makes the bad news all the more durable. The first disc will be “Everywhere”  which stands for the E in E.N.D. second will be “Nowhere”  for the N and “Down here” for the D. I thought this guy was just beginning his legecy…turns out its coming to an end..hit the jump for the video of him announcing it at the show in Chi-town.
